Tension has rocked Mbale town in Vihiga county after a mortuary that was under construction in Vihiga has this afternoon collapsed and trapped an unknown number of people. The workers who were undertaking construction works at the site are feared.
Reliable sources reveal that the survivors are still stranded as the county vehicles have no fuel to rush them for treatment out of Mbale.
According to a video streamed live by the Vihiga News TV, a rescue operation is currently underway with the county department of disaster management have arrived at the site as thousands of residents watch helplessly.
