It is a shock to friends and family members following sudden death of a medical officer under unclear circumstances.
According to reports, lifeless body of 28-year old Mary Kwamboka Ogechi who has been a medical officer in Rodi Kopany of Homa Bay county was found lying in her rented house on Sunday, 4th December 2022.
According to a neighbour, she went to visit Mary but upon knocking the door, no response was heard. She became suspicious after realizing that the door had been locked from outside. She peeped through the window and spotted the body of the deceased in a pool of blood. She raised and alarm and police arrived at the scene.
Homa Bay County Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer Abed Kavoo confirmed the incident. He said that police suspect Mary was murdered by her boyfriend who went into hiding after the incident. The body had stab wounds on the face and neck.
