After a series of adverts to educate people on dangers of careless driving and driving under the influence of substances, the number of road accidents within Nairobi have significantly dropped. Today morning there has been a Deadly accident between a BodaBoda rider and a Matatu in Ngara alnext to equity Bank roundabout.
According to first hand information from all present the Boda Rider is said to be headed towards Riverside when the Matatu driver entered the road without stopping to check on the clarity of the road. This resulted to knocking down of the rider to the other lane and to the ditch. With a twisted neck he died instantly. His body was collected minutes later by police and was taken to city mortuary.
The Matatu driver was forced to drive to the nearby Starehe police station where he wrote a statement. Remains of the motorbike were collected by police, efforts to identify the middle aged man who passed on are currently ongoing.
