All people in the country were complaining about the drought. It had not rained for the last three weeks and already people were feeling the effects. Last week on Friday Kenya Meteorological Department indicated on their official Facebook Page that it was to start raining as from Saturday. That happened as most parts received torrential downpour on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday(today).
One thing that Kenyans didn't think about is the floods. Like today Keroka Town in Kisii County has been affected completely with Kisii-Nairobi Highway remaining closed for the better part of the day after the town flooded as heavy rainfall pounded the area.
In my view, the county governments should deal with poor drainage patterns in our towns to control floods. At the same time, Kenyans should follow the warning of the Weatherman to avoid catastrophes.
