Painful: Woman Slashed to Death by Brother-in-law In Homabay County

Authorities in Rachuonyo, Homabay County, have launched a manhunt for a man who slashed his sister-in-law to death in Koriw village over issues regarding to the deceased chasing away the suspect's wife two months ago.

According to Citizen TV Kenya, the deceased by the name Rose Atieno, was confronted by her husband's brother on Saturday using a panga in her house.

In reference to the assistant chief of the area, Pius Odoyo Ayugi, the alleged attacker, sneaked into his brother's home when he was at work and mercilessly attacked the mother of two by cutting her a number of times on the neck before chopping off her left palm.

Angry neighbours of the deceased burned down the suspect's house including the property inside the house after the incident.

Rachuonyo South sub-county police commander Lilies Wachira confirmed that the suspect is still on the run and a manhunt for him has been launched.

The lifeless body of Rose Atieno was transported to Rachuonyo South sub-county mortuary.
