Sleuths in Kericho County are holding a police officer after he reportedly shot a young man after a road accident.
According to sources the officer from an elite police squad that guards VIPs in Nairobi was travelling to his rural home when the incident occurred.
Reports by the police indicate that, the officer ramming his saloon car into a Toyota probox when all hell broke loose.
After a Deadly altercation the officer is alleged to have drawn his pistol and shot directly at the driver with an aim of ending his life.
Reports indicate that the officer missed, and shot at the young Multi Media University student on the neck.
He later took flight, escaping from the scene, a report was filed at the local police station where a man hunt for the officer began.
He was nabbed several kilometers from the scene and will be arraigned in court to answer to attempted murder charges.
