The Modern Coast Express Limited Operating License has been stopped following receipt of a report from the National Transport and Safety Authority, according to Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen.
This results from a recent accident that happened on December 28, 2022, in the River Masosa, Kisii County. One person was killed in the collision, while numerous others were hurt.
Following another accident on July 24, 2022, in River Nithi, the bus firm was previously suspended for three months.
However, it was mandated that the bus company make sure that all other travelers who had reservations made it to their destinations.
Following the conclusion of the investigations, the Cabinet Secretary has stated that he will release a thorough report.
In addition, the Ministry has asked everyone who uses the road to always abide by the law, even during the current holiday season.
The statement from the Ministry of Roads and Transportation's Cabinet Secretary is provided below.
