Police in Kitale have launched Investigations into the murder of unknown man in Kaptain village in Sirende.
The victim was stabbed to death by Brian Simiyu Watuka following a fight over unknown reason.
Simiyu disclosed that the man had attacked him before stabbing him in self-defence.
According to Simiyu, a brief scuffle ensued before he hacked the man, killing him instantly.
Following the incident, Simiyu surrendered to a police station while armed with a blood-stained kitchen knife and blood-stained clothes, saying he had killed unknown male adult who stormed his home.
He directed police officers to the scene, where they found the body of the man, with a deep out on the neck.
The officers documented the scene and moved to the mortuary for preservation awaiting postmortem.

The suspect was later arrested and detained at the local police station pending further investigation into the murder. He is expected to be presented to the court once investigation is through.
