A Man Arrested For Killing Inherited Wife In Cold Blood Thereafter Hiding Her Body

A man is in police custody after killing 50-year old wife he inherited in a domestic squabble in Kobor village in Gem Yala Sub-county.

Fredrick Onyango as identified by the DCI, hacked his wife, Millicent Atieno after the death of her previous husband claiming that the new wife could not get over her late husband.

The incident was discovered by the victim's son who went to check on his mother only to find her lifeless body on the floor. He quickly informed other neighbors and who raided Onyango's home with fury baying for his blood.

Residents claim that Onyango has a notorious trouble maker as he usually gets involved in fights and stealing of chicken and cattle in their village.

Confirming the incident is Yala township chief, Annam Adongo who cautioned the public against taking the law into their hands insisting that their are other forms of punishment.

“Once and arrest has been made, I urge the public to let the law enforcement perform their role and no one should take it upon themselves to be executioner," said Adongo.
