The Nairobi Expressway was basically constructed to ease the flow of traffic within the capital Nairobi while decongesting the major roads and highways linking the city with its suburbs.
The Mombasa Road which this toll free highway passes is frequent with traffic James and the Nairobi Expressway is the alternative for Mombasa Road users.
The usage of the toll highway has been fairly good since it was opened for trials on 14th May.
However, a new twist has been reported on the Nairobi Expressway usage today sparking reactions online.
In a photo that has been shared by a reliable source of information via ma3route, the Nairobi which was built to solve the traffic jam was today reported to have witness the same jam as the adjacent roads were moving.

The incident is reported to have happened along the marked section, Nairobi East along the road.
