I've killed Carol: Kabete Cop Benson Imbatu's Call To His Mother

After Benson Imbatu’s mother responded to a phone call at around 1.03am on Tuesday, she didn't know that she'll get bad news at this time.

“I've shot my wife Carol dead, am sad and don't have any idea on how I can start."

Attempts to retrieve information on what he was saying led to a sad turn of events when Imbatu ended his call and later powered it off.

Carol Amakove was his side chick.

The call went for 106 seconds.

Before long, at 1.05am, he powered it on and made a call to his cousin. This time, he still maintained that he shot Carol dead and was confused.

When his cousin attempt to get more information about the killing, Imbatu ended up the call and powered his phone off. This time the call went for 67 seconds.

A few minutes, reports started shooting to the headlines, and Imbatu’s mother together with cousin also started getting more information about the tragic incident.

By 3am, Imbatu had shot dead six locals before shooting himself.

Imbatu’s mother together with cousin, who are known from the Kabete Police Station officer’s call statements, was required to visit the area’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices to file reports.

At the Dagoretti headquarters, DCI boss Patrick Gikunda alongside his group on Wednesday retoured the site where Imbatu killed five civilians after he shot his lover.

On the other hand, a group of police was at the City Morgue where autopsy tests on two people of the shooting incident had been planned.
