According to sources, 'Mbagathi' way as it has been known for many years will now be called Raila Odinga road in honour of the first prime minister and leader of the ODM party.
In the recent days, well known individuals in the sociaty are being seen to name roads after them with the labour leader Mr Francis Atwoli being among those who now have a road named after them.
When one is honoured to have his name in the streets of a city like Nairobi, it helps the coming generation be able to understand the history of the country even at a time when they are not in existence, for example alot of people who are in or have visited where the Tom Mboya monument is placed, have had knowledge of who he was in Kenya.
