The old man identified by the name Elijah Andrea Esani, was ambushed committing the heinous act by a security officer from Itenyi Secondary School.
The said officer who came to rescue the thirteen (13) years old girl was on his way home after a night shift. His attention was caught by scattered primary school uniform near the said farm, the scene of the crime.
After drawing closer, the officer found the helpless class six pupil struggling in the jaws of the ruthless rapist. With a lot of anger, he wrestled him down as he yelled to call for back from nearby Villagers.
Just as irate members of the public were thronging the scene, the area assistant chief in the company of police officers arrived at the scene and rescued the old man from the sharp jaws of the furiously charging mob that was ready to diamantle the thirsty beast.
The police picked the minor and rushed her to a local health centre where she was attended to. She is now in a stable condition while Elijah is under the custody of the detectives awaiting to be arraigned in court on Monday, reads part of the DCI's Twitter report. End.
