Online dating is among the current trends in the country right now. People just happen to meet online and decide to get engaged. Some of these relationships actually do work. A lady in Ruaka was in tears after finding that she had been dating a criminal. According ti reports, the two "lovebirds" met online on a dating site.
The two agreed to meet up in person after chatting for some days. As planned, they met at a certain petrol station located in Marurui. They then drove heading to Kahawa West in the man's vehicle. Little did the lady know that what was going to happen would be unfortunate.
Along the way, the suspect turned against the lady and robbed her. According to reports, the lady was robbed off her phone plus money and valuables amounting to about ksh 25000.
Fortunately, detectives followed up on the case and found the suspect to be a man from Sierra Leone. The man was arraigned on Thursday.
