A suspected love triangle involving two blood sisters and a man in Kirinyaga County ended in a disaster after the man was found dead. Allegedly, the man had been seeing both ladies before it dawned on them about his actions.
The event took place in Mugamba village in Mwea East, and the man passed away after an altercation in a nearby pub. According to area police chief Daniel Kitavi, Louise Wangerwe, who was with two other people, attacked the deceased, Boniface Wambugu. The police said that while they were able to apprehend one of the criminals, the other two were subjected to mob justice and the third escaped the scene.
Kitavi warned the public against enforcing the law on their own, noting that the mob-beaten suspect might have perished if it weren't for police getting involved. The deceased's body is said to be lying in the Kibugi Mortuary in Kutus. The suspect is currently being detained at Itangi Police Station.
