A 74,-years-old mother has in the wee hours of this evening met with one of the most painful death after her 34-year-old son, the murder suspect brutally attacked her in Kisii.
Reporting the sad news, the Nyanguuru Acting Chief Duncan Ondieki has confirmed that a 74-year-old grandmother Jane Kemunto Monyenye has fatally been stabbed to death using a slasher and a hammer by her son over land row issues and for failing to prepare food for him.
The suspect is reported to have inhumanely inflicted his mother with serious injuries and chopped off her right palm. The aged innocent mother was pronounced dead upon arrival in the hospital.
Police who quickly responded to the scene of the murder saved the suspect's life from irate locals who had ambushed him while baying for his blood. The victim's body is now lying at Kisii Teaching Hospital Level 6 Hospital awaiting autopsy. The suspect has also been arrested and cooling his heels at Nyatieko Police Station as Investigations continue.
Among the murder weapons recovered from the suspect are a hammer and a slasher.
Children's should learn to be grateful to their parents for having raised them well and accord them the respect they deserve.
