Haron Cherono currently aged 60 years old has finally been arrested on allegations of defiling his 11-year-old niece.
According to the sources the suspect had been on the run for 3 months.
Unfortunately, she succumbed to injuries brought about by the defilement.
Reportedly the deceased had been staying with her uncle together with his wife in Baringo North. The suspect used to drag her niece to his bedroom from around 7 pm to 8 pm when his wife was in the shop and defiled her.
He threatened to kill her with a kitchen knife if she dared tried to tell his aunt.
However the minor later started becoming sick forcing her to run away from their home.
She was found hiding in a bush eating wild fruits and was rushed to Sunrise children's hospital.
The deceased was later transferred to Moi Teaching And Referral hospital where she succumbed to intensive uterus, kidney, and liver damage.
