NTSA Drops Message to All Kenyan Drivers and Motorists

Kenyan drivers and motorists have been warned against engaging in activities that are more likely to cause accidents. Report shared by NTSA through their official social media platforms indicates that some behaviours are more likely to cause road accidents. Therefore all road users especially drivers and motorists urged to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to minimise traffic accidents.

It has emerged that the common causes of car accident is due to driver error. Therefore most of accidents don't necessarily have to do with knowing how to drive a vehicle but more so which decision the driver makes behind the wheel. In fact, about 94% all all roads accidents are caused by human error.

Drunk driving is responsible for traffic accidents in the country, according to the report shared by NTSA through their official Twitter. However, thanks to the recent education, deaths related to drunk driving have lessened.

Speeding is also another major cause of traffic deaths. Simply unintentionally driving over the speed limit are the top causes of speeding related accidents. Therefore drivers and motorists warned against overspeeding while on the busy highways.

Moreover, reckless driving is another cause of road accidents in the country. Switching lane quickly, blatantly disregarding the safety rules are some characteristics of reckless driving in the country.
