Meet Rachel Ruto's Organization That Empowers Women In Kenya

She goes by the name Rachel Ruto. She is the wife of the deputy president of Kenya, Dr. William Ruto. Born in Kakamega County, Rachel holds a Bachelors degree in education from Kenyatta University. Her dedication and probono services to women in Kenya is just on another level. Despite being a prayer warrior, she is the founder of Joyful Women Organization (JOYWO) which champions for the welfare of women through various poverty alleviating initiatives.

She founded this organization in 2009 and it has its headquarters in Nairobi with an office in each county run by county managers and program officers. The organization impacts women through two main ways which includes but not limited to capacity building and livelihood projects. Under capacity building, women are equipped with skills to thrive in the fast changing world through periodical trainings like table banking and modern agriculture. For any women who wants to become a member must be above 18 years and be a member of a registered group or Chama. Congratulations to the current second lady for such a noble sacrifice to the society and follow me for more content.
