Family In Bungoma Demand For Justice After Their Brother Was Killed

Bungoma family is demanding for justice from the government for their kin after he was allegedly killed for refusing to surrender his wife as a bribe.

Robert Nasongo, a 30 years old man, used to sell traditional brew at Misikhu village in Bungoma County before he met his death.

His brother said, Robert's home was attacked by members of the "Nyumba Kumi" led by the area assistant chief.

His brother claims that, after being arrested, Robert was asked to surrender his wife in exchange for his own freedom.

The late refused to exchange her dear wife so that they can allow him sell "chang'aa and this led the attackers to start beating him up untill he died on the spot.

Confirming the incident,police commander Bungoma central he said the investigation are ongoing and justice will prevail soon.

The family are requesting interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred matiang'i to intervene and help them to speed the process of arresting the attackers.
