The eyewitnesses who had visited the deceased home on Thursday morning confirmed the old man's body had been burnt beyond recognition with his grandchildren being responsible for the act.
According to John Matasi, a police officer and also a local police boss in the area, the old man had differences with his family members due to land disputes which were unsolved which allegedly led to the old man's death. After conducting the heinous act to one their own, the suspects are said to have fled the place.
The police however confirmed that investigations have kicked off regarding the abrupt death of the old man and a manhunt for the grandchildren who happen to be the first suspects has already been launched.
