Those who knew him avoided him because he would kill at the slightest provocation. Samuel as known as ‘Ngozi’ (skin) or Salim, Kimuiru was a city notorious no-nonsense criminal gangster and dangerous robber who terrorised residents of Nairobi especially in the Nairobi’s Eastlands areas. The hitman was nicknamed Ngozi (skin) because of his well-known trademark, cutting off skin from every victim after killing them. He was mostly hired by the politicians to intimidate people mostly their opponents.
One of the most notable crime Samuel Kimuiru and his daring accomplices did is when they stormed Gikomba Market within Nairobi City, fully armed with guns in broad daylight and robbed the second-hand clothes dealers money and mobile phones before getting away. But as the adage goes, he who lives by the sword dies by the sword, the dreaded hitman died by the sword in a dramatic cars chase.
