A man who was caught red-handed forcing himself on a partially deaf, partially dumb & mentally handicapped lady in a bush was found guilty by the Murang'a court.
Samuel Kamau took advantage of the 25-year-old woman's vulnerability and repeatedly forced himself on her as she struggled for help.
According to the report, the woman's parents had left the home to attend a funeral which gave Samuel a chance to commit the felony.
He was caught red-handed by the woman's brother who then reported the matter to the police.
Samuel has since been slapped with a jail term of 20 years
"A Murang'a court sentenced a man to 20 yrs imprisonment for raping a 25-yr-old woman who is partially deaf, partially dumb & mentally handicapped. Court noted that Samuel Kamau took advantage of the woman's vulnerability," ODPP said.
Prosecutor, Caroline Muriu was able to prove to the court that indeed Samuel committed the crime.
"The woman's parents had gone for a funeral when the accused raped her in a nearby bush where he was caught by the woman's brother," ODPP added.
