Benson's act of sneaking an eggs into the coffin almost left him beaten by the mourners.
One of the eye witness by the name Jane Aseka, caught the suspect placing the eggs near the deceased's head as she was going to check on the body before covering the coffin in readiness for burial.
She quickly raised an alarm to other mourners who got hold of the man demanding an explanation from him.
“ I saw him placing one egg on the right side and the other one on the left side of the deceased's head.” Jane said.
The irritate mourners attacked him leaving him with some injuries. This brought a standstill to the burial Ceremony as locals wrapped heads around it.
According to the community elders, the suspect may have been responsible for the death of the deceased and he was doing that to prevent spirits from the deceased from tormenting him.
