The interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki has clarified on the use firearms by the police officers in different departments, however he has also revealed why they said that it's high time they also use firearms to attack criminals.
While speaking during an interview with citizen tv today, the cabinet secretary said that he has to clarify on the remarks of 'shoot to kill' saying that it is majorly meant for those criminals trying to attack police officers in uniform. He also revealed that the reason as to why they said that is because they have lost many police officers to criminals and thus they aren't ready for that anymore.
At the same time he has said that they will continue engaging cattle rustlers and will only do that within the law and account for every action they take. He has also sent warning that no one should teach them their work and how their operations will be conducted. Watch video
