Four people on Sunday died and two sustained injuries in a grisly accident involving five vehicles along road, Nairobi County.
Ngong Road traffic police officer Hassan Wario said the accident occurred at around 2pmm on Sunday.
He said the driver of the Faw lorry was moving at a high speed before he lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the oncoming car.
According to Hassan, the lorry therefore rammed into the mentioned vehicles leaving two people with severe injuries and claiming four lives.
"The Faw lorry was transporting sand to a construction site in Ngong estate when the accident happened," he added.
He said two men from the lorry died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries while being rushed to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.
Motorists are now advised to ply different routes so as to avoid traffic snarl-up along the busy road as the officers try to tow the wreaks away from the accident scene.
