CS Kindhiki Orders Recruitment Of National Police Reservists in Isiolo Within 10 Days

Given the terrible security situation in many of the country's counties, the government has been urged to take action to establish peace through the Interior Security docket. One such county is Isiolo, where banditry has been rife for the past few months, leaving some inhabitants dead and their livestock stolen.

In his address to the residents of Isiolo, the Cabinet Secretary promised that Police Reservists will eventually assist with the security situation in the region as well as the neighboring counties of Meru and Marsabit to put a stop to cattle rustling. 

According to the Ministry, the following was said during a number of security meetings held near the borders of Isiolo and the neighboring counties of Marsabit and Meru: "The Cabinet Secretary said the NPRs will strengthen the effort to combat cattle rustling and banditry, which have been pervasive in the region.

The sessions were also attended by a number of national dignitaries, including Guyo, the governor of Isiolo."
