
Reports of a well known politician being involved in a tragic road accident emerged online leading to panic mood among Kenyans.According to reports, Hon. Kingi Smart Wanjiku who is Kamwangi ward Member of county assembly(MCA) Gatundu North in Kiambu county was travelling from his father's burial when his car was involved in an accident.
Further reports indicated that the accident took place along the busy Nakuru-Nairobi highway. An eye witness revealed that the two saloon cars lost control from unknown reasons and collided before one rolling in ditch.
Good samaritans rushed to the scene to rescue the victims. A passengers from the two vehicles were removed and rushed to a nearby hospital. Police were informed and toured the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
It was later established that the owner of a saloon car model Toyota X was Hon. Kingi Wanjiku. He is currently receiving treatment under stable condition.
