Tob Cohen murder case"/>
The murder case brought by Tob Cohen against Sarah Wairimu and her co-accused Peter Karanja is currently being sought to be dropped by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Haji.

According to a letter from the DPP, "The DPP has requested that this issue be addressed by inquest to be filed before the Chief Magistrates court'Milimani Nairobi."
Haji requests that the court dismiss the murder case against the pair in a letter submitted to the High Court Criminal Division.
The letter; which is partially signed by Haji's deputy Jancita Nyamosi, states, "I hereby enter a Nolle Prosequi (do not prosecute) and inform this Honourable court that the Republic intends that the criminal proceedings against the above-named persons who are charged with the offence of Murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the Penal Code, Laws of Kenya, shall not continue."
In September 2019, Wairimu and her co-accused were accused of murdering her estranged spouse; Tob Cohen.
