Following the deadly attack on Sunday which left eight security personnel/three civilians dead, the corpse of the seven security personnel was transported to Nairobi for a funeral service to be organised.
In line with the national police service, yesterday afternoon the deceased persons were attacked by rough bandits at a place called Namariat when they were on their way to Kamuge in Turkana East from Loki.
The sad incident led the first in command, President William Samoei Arap Ruto to take quick action and give some serious commands to the police force to deal with the bandits decisively and harshly to ensure that the Incident repeats itself no more. The bodies were ferried to Nairobi a town near Willison airport.
Reactions from Netizens
Vincent... That incident of Turkana/Pokot was organized by the outgoing security Stted agents to spoil the name of the Kenya Kwanza government as unorganised and weak to solve the issue to do with deadly bandits attacks. Therefore let them face the law.
.. Are no choppers for the operations? Why were they readily available to carry dead bodies? , so sad.
Samson... Eight well-trained police officers brought to an end by just mere cattle rustlers? It doesn't sound well.
