Charlene Ruto's photos from when she was in Kariobangi South, Nairobi County has reappeared online. Some parts of the region are home to some of Nairobi's most egregious slums, making it one of the city's most crowded.
Charlene tweeted about how she went to support a fellow Kariobangi South hustler who had recently opened a juice shop. As she put it, "Today I went to a young Hustler's shop in Kariobangi South and heard her story about how she started her own juice and milkshake shop from scratch by saving up filunds. Her business and earnings will flourish with the help of resources like the hustling fund."

A major plank of the president's campaign platform was the Hustler's fund, which he promised to establish to help the poor and unemployed in Kenya. He recently shared that distributions can begin in December. Interest rates and repayment schedules have also been made public.
