Lack of money is seen as one of the greatest challenges in the modern world. Without money, one lacks the means of solving financially related problems such as lack of school fees, rent, food, and transport. Today K24 TV asked Kenyans to list the different challenges they go through as a result of lack of money, and those who responded had different opinions. Low self-esteem, irrational thoughts, feeling insecure, anger and negative thoughts are some of the answers that people gave.

Others attributed lack of money to loss of friends, always being judgemental and nearly everything seeming impossible, such as marriage and relationships. According to social media users who responded to the question posted by K24 TV News, lack of money can make one's brain starts working properly as they think of big investments and how to make more money in future, but once the money is there, one tends to forget about everything again.

Some argued that lacking money is the most 'terrible diseases'. They argued that it can lead to depression, hallucinations, low blood pressure, backache, diabetes, cardiac arrest, joint pains, psychosis, blindness, and deafness. Below are some of the reactions from social media users:

Karis: Not having money makes people start thinking and having great business ideas but after you get it, one of your first remarks is, "Hello Jane, how are you? So you said we can meet for chips and soda or you are still busy?"

Kimani: A certain breed of humans will avoid you like a plague. In the short term, it may seem cruel but in hindsight, you are a broke man with infinite ideas

Kimani: When you don't have money, you start having wishful thinking e.g buying and building plots (rental houses), buying transport vehicles and venturing into business and how you can help the poor.

Emmanuel: God enables people to acquire money so that they can take care of their bills and other needs. So it's obvious when you don't have it, it becomes a problem to you and others as well.

Langat: You tend to discover that sugar is harmful to your body, fats/oil causes cholesterol, salt can act as toothpaste, footing to job is healthy to your body, alcohol is a waste of resources, kibanda food is not different from Kempinski one, and that fasting is a worthy dedication to Christ
