For many days, Kenyans were made to believe that Strathmore University lecturer Professor Fredrick Ogola had murdered his wife as alleged by the then Nairobi police boss.

According to Professor Ogola, he was about to get out of the house to deliver a package to a friend when his wife asked him where he was going. He told her that he was to deliver a medical package in Nairobi.

The wife immediately told him 'You are going nowhere' before pushing him to the bed in a romantic fashion. However, Ogola managed to slip away and rushed out of the house since he was getting late.

He had left the wife on the bed. After a few hours, he received a call from the maid who told him that his wife was on the floor groaning in pain. He immediately rushed home and sought the help of the neighbors to rush him to the hospital.

She spent the night at the Aga Khan Hospital but was pronounced dead the next day which was 1st January 2018. Doctors cited she had undergone heart failure and stroke.

She had left behind a 6-week old son behind.

The next day Ogola was arrested and detained for 21 days. The police had reason to believe that he was behind his wife's death despite the overwhelming evidence by the doctors that his wife Becky had died from natural causes.

It took several weeks before he was vindicated and allowed to Burry the love of his life.

Professor Ogola still remembers his loving wife as he continues to raise their son who is now of age.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
