KMD Issues Warning on Weather Change In the Next Five days in The following Areas

After a series of warnings on heavy rainfall in certain parts of the country including Most parts of the Rift valley regions, the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) now issues update predicting that most parts of the country are likely to remain dry. This, according to the information shared on their Official website, shall be valid starting July 6 until 11th of July 2022.

However the department also maintains that a few areas in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Coast, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley and North-western Kenya may receive light to moderate rainfall.

In addition to the information given above the KMD also warns of Intermittent cold and cloudy conditions that are expected over the Highlands East of the Rift Valley as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and the Central and South Rift Valley.

Strong southerly winds with speeds exceeding 25knots (12.9m/s) are likely to occur over the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands and North-eastern Kenya.
