Kenyans have traditionally supported poor families, especially after learning about them through social media. Additionally, Canadians have demonstrated their support by helping to raise funds to help defray the cost of burying Hellenic people.

After a fundraising page garnered a sizable sum of money, Hellen Wendy Nyabuto's family now has hope that their daughter will be brought home for burial. As of today, the group had succeeded in raising 46,800 Canadian dollars, which is equal to 4.3 million Kenyan shillings and roughly what the bereaved family anticipates. A Canadian nurse working in Kenya passed away while enjoying some time in Toronto's Ontario swimming pool.

Hellen Wendy Nyabuto reportedly moved to Canada three years ago after being granted a 10-year study visa. Before she tragically passed away, Hellen would subsequently land a part-time job that would allow her to financially support her parents while she studied in Canada.
