The victim who had just joined form 1 allegedly went missing under unclear circumstances forcing her family members to file a missing person's report to the police station for more investigation.
This was followed by a dramatic search that was launched by a number of villagers along with the local police officers who tried in all manner to find the missing child.
However, their search would end Painfully after the body of the deceased was found yesterday by one of the locals who had gone to the river only to bump into the body of the deceased that had been slashed several times before being put in a gunny bag.
"I had gone to the river and so saw something that looked like the body of a human being in a sack. I was afraid of touching it and so i called police officers who came only to find out that it was the body of a child that had been dumped there", Nyeri resident said.
According to the reports given by the police officers who are currently investigating this incident they claimed that they received a phone call from one of the witnesses who informed them about the possibility of a body that had been dumped in a river.
Nyeri police boss said that they rushed to the crime scene only to find the body of the deceased. Giving vivid description of how the deceased was Murdered, he revealed that the deceased had been cut by the use of a sharp object before being thrown into the river. While reacting to this incident, the mother of the deceased said that she is reliving the pain that she has been having after her child's disappearance.
