The late Nguu Masumba MCA Harris Ngui lost his life after a fatal road accident at Salama in Makueni county. The devolution chairman in the county assembly was travelling back to Wote town after a meeting in Nairobi. The MCA lost his life at the spot together with his female friend.
The Requiem Mass of the late MCA was conducted at CITAM church in Nairobi on Thursday. The mass was attended by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior and other elected leaders from the county led by assembly speaker Douglas Mbilu.
The burial ceremony of the late MCA will be conducted at his rural home in Nguu Masumba ward. Various leaders are expected to attend the funeral ceremony led by Makueni county assembly speaker Douglas Mbilu.
Before proceeding to his rural home, the procession carrying his remains passed at Makueni county assembly building. Emotions were very high as the remains of the late MCA arrived at the assembly building for special prayers and eulogizes from fellow MCAs.
Makueni county assembly MCAs are present in the event to bid final farewell to their colleague. The body was placed in front of the assembly building covered with Makueni county flag.
