2022 Kiambaa Member of Parliament aspirant was kidnapped in Nairobi by police officers and later found in Eldoret has been identified.
Uasin Gishu County News media company shared the photo of the man who is called John Njuguna Wanjiku in its Facebook page, alleging that he was found in Eldoret town moments after his disappearance.
Njuguna has announced his intentions to run for Kiambaa constituency Parliamentary seat which is currently occupied by a Kieleweke MP Paul Koinange in 2022 general election.
It was reported that Njuguna was kidnapped by police officers in Nairobi after making plans to host deputy president Dr William Ruto for an empowerment program in Kiambaa.
The alleged police officers kidnapped and transported him to Uasin Gishu county where they dumped him in a forest known as Sengalo.
Locals who identified the man reported to Eldoret police station so that he could be rescued.
This comes as the powerful state agents within the government and the ruling party moved to tame deputy president Dr William Ruto's allies after the second in command of was alienated following his differences with president Uhuru Kenyatta.
This also follows after Dr William Ruto moved from one county to another in a bid to popularize his candidature ahead of 2022 polls.
Dr Ruto is hinging on empowerment of the undeserving population as his mission as he seeks to use the same in ascending to power in 2022. His empowerment program involves issuing funds and items to individuals with small businesses in order to uplift them in their endeavours.
