A man who is 28 years old from Ndivu village in Yatta Sub county,has last night committed suicide.His body has been taken by police officers from Yatta and taken to Matuu level 4 hospital mortuary.
According to reports on Athiani FM,the man has been found today morning hanging on the roof of his by his neighbours.He has not left behind a note indicating the cause of the action.
According to area chief,this is the third suicide report in a period of one month.He has urged the youths to speak out when faced with difficult times.Adding that committing suicide is not a solution to problem.
Cases of suicides, domestic violence and abductions have increased recently.And we are calling upon the government to put in measures to prevent them.And if possible to set a side a guidance and counseling centre where people can run to for help in every village.
We also urge the government, to offer job opportunities to suicide survivors, so that they can be kept busy instead of jailing them.
