This is a young innocent boy who has not stolen anything. He doesn't even know what was stolen. And the complainant is willing to withdraw the case. He is not interested in it and he(complainant) even paid fare for Dennis(innocent boy) parents to go to court. This is according to Senior Lawyer Wahome Thuku as he narrates this sad state through his facebook page.Picture for illustrative purpose.
Wahome as a Senior Lawyer believes in rule of law and from his vast experience on matters law and police arrests, he felt it wise sharing it with Kenyans to see whether justice may be prevailed to this innocent boy.
This facebook post attracted lots of reactions where different Kenyans gave different views and opinions as captured below.Picture for illustrative purpose.
*This is punishment for being poor. The police should be humane is such circumstances but they are so greedy.
*Accused was supposed to raise that issue of complainant withdrawing the matter himself with the magistrate at the time he was taking plea. The magistrate would have listened to him and would have called the complainant to confirm the same.
*There is a case where an OCS was fighting for his life in an ambulance, the hospital he was rushed to delayed to admit him and he died in the van. Well am not happy for his death but let the officers be unfair, but karma doesn't forget address.
