Roads are very important in a country. Roads enables easy movement of people from one place to another. In Kenya, there are different categories of roads which are run and managed by different authorities. Such roads include; national roads, rural and urban roads.
KURA is the independent body that ensures all roads in urban centres are in good condition to facilitate smooth movement of people. Today, a road in pathetic condition was spotted in Nairobi. According to reports by Ma3Route today, the road connects Chania Avenue, Wood Gardens, Wood Avenue and Kilimani Estate. These three residential areas are located approximately 4 kilometers west of Nairobi CBD.
From the shared photo, the road can be seen to have alot of depressions which are full of stagnant water. The depressions on the road has made it difficult for people with small vehicles like cars to move smoothly. There is also possibility that the stagnant water on the road can lead to outbreak of contagious diseases.
The condition of the road has sparked alot of reactions from different people. Giving out their views on Tweeter, some of them can be seen addressing KURA to take proper action and solve the problem.
