A picture of a police officer involved in an accident today
A traffic police officer has today been involved in a road accident at Soko Mjinga along the busy Limuru-Naivasha road.
Pictures have surfaced on social media, showing the officer lying in the middle of the road after being knocked down.
According to the source, the officer was controlling traffic at Soko Mjinga before he was knocked down, even though details of the accident remain scanty.
It is also not clear whether the officer is safe and sound or not.
Several accidents are happening along major roads in the country, with most of them leading to deaths.
Today along, at least three accidents have been reported in different parts of the country, a deadly one being along Mombasa road where a PSV matatu rammed into a truck before it overturned and killed at least four people.
Several others sustained serious injuries. The matatu was heading to Nairobi CBD.
