Matatu Driver Lynched By Bodaboda Riders For Hiting Their Colleague Who Was Riding On The Wrong Side

Matatu driver lynched by bodaboda riders for hiting their colleague who was riding on the wrong side of the road in Ngong Road.

Ngong Road traffic police commander Justus Oracha who commented on the matter said the bodaboda rider was trying to overtake vehicles along the busy road when the accident happened.

Justus said his colleagues who witnessed the incident became angered with the motorist's act, blocked him, withdrew him out of his car and started to pelt stones at him.

The Thursday morning incident has delayed transport system along the road as some drivers were forced to divert to other routes to avoid being involved in the incident.

Police identified the deceased as Leonard Murphy, a 21-year-old bodaboda rider in Ngong bodaboda shade.

He was heading to town when he might his untimely death.

His body was moved to City mortuary by his fellow bodaboda riders who now blame the county government for failing to address their pleas.

Justus said the latest report comes two days when a Sukuma Wiki vendor was also knocked down by speeding car at the same road.

The case is still under police investigations.
