- The NPS has lauded the Marsabit residents after recovering stolen livestock and an illegal firearm.
- The reports say police are determined to find a lasting peace in the region.
The report say the security officers were on 29th June 2022, conducted fruitful and successful patrols within Turusi area of Koya Location.
In a statement on social media page on Thursday, the NPS says the security team managed to recover one AK-47 rifle with 28 rounds of ammunition, 13 sheep, and 3 goats.
The recovered livestock were reportedly stolen at Turbi area.
The security team escorted the livestock to the Multi-Agency Camp in Marsabit county for further police action.
The NPS laud the area residents for their support which made it possible to recover & urge them to surrender all the illegal weapons to the security agencies for the sake of lasting peace in the entire region.
