A couple of years ago, the news of Jackline Mwende whose hands were chopped off by her now ex-husband went viral. The Nairobian published her recent photos which are all beautiful as you can see them uploaded here.

Mwende confirmed that her then man chopped off her hands because she 'couldn't' give birth. She said that they stayed together for many years without being blessed with a child.

The man allegedly accused her of the ordeal and that is how she got the scars on her face and limbs. He was arrested. Mwende was helped by different organizations that saw her getting artificial hands.

She hails from Machakos county. The First Lady from that region contributed to Mwende's welfare which helped her recover fully.

The paper revealed that Mwende is now a happy woman. She got a different man of whom they were blessed with a lovely son.

She forgave her ex-husband even though the visible scars will forever remain on her skin. We wish her all the best in future endeavors.
