A side mirror thief was on Tuesday afternoon filmed stealing side mirrors from motorists along Kipande-Ojijo underpass, Nairobi County.
This is according to the twitter post by Ma3route Kenya.
In the cctv camera, the guy was filmed walking away with someone's side mirror hidden in his jacket. The statement reveals that the thieves don't look like streetboys.
"Side mirror thieves...just witnessed a KDE’s side mirror yanked on Kipande/Ojijo underpass. Guy casually walks away with someone’s side mirror under his jacket. Happened so fast. The guy doesn’t look like a streetboy." The Twitter post read in part.
Kipande-Ojijo underpass has over the years remained a blackspot for such criminal activities.
A motorist who spoke to the press said that it’s really unfortunate. The helplessness is real. You watching as car is vandalized in traffic. And cops were less than 100M away and the thief isn’t afraid.
The motorist now said that the stolen motorvehicle side mirrors are sold to local spare parts dealers at lower prices.
