A Sickly mother of one locked inside house for five days over ksh16,000 rent arrears.
The woman identified as Roselyn Atieno Aguyo, a mother of one argued that her landlord also called Wilson Gacanja alongside Elizabeth Gitiri Gacanja sent her a notification to move away from the house by August 15, 2021, which was on Sunday last week.
It is reported that Roselyn is locked in Masai Estate flat number 1 in Langata Nairobi county.
On August 15, 2021, when she was making preparations to vacate the premises, the landlord’s assistant who has been harassing and assaulting her for sometimes, alongside one security officer identified as Murathi Njeru locked her inside the house without bothering to check if she was in the house.
Roselyn has been ill after being diagnosed with cancer at Nairobi County hospital on June 12, 2021.
The victim lost her job in early April last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic after the government declared a total lockdown that saw everyone work from home.
Her husband passed away in the year 2013 as a result of Tuberculosis related complications.
Roselyn is now appealing for the government and any other good samaritan to stand by her side so that she can be able to clear the rent arrears and also seek treatment at private hospital within Nairobi County.
