A middle-aged mother was today arrested by members of the public in Bomet county after she abandoned her infant baby at a local center.
The infant less than a year of age was found by good Samaritans on a roadside at Kaptembwo center, Boito ward in Konoin sub-county of Bonet county. Not knowing his identity, one of the good samaritans took him to her home for the night.
Saturday morning a serious search began, as the word spread, relatives of the villain mother went to the baby's location and positively identified the warmers the baby had on him. They revealed that the baby wasn't at their home and the mother avoided questions of his whereabouts.
She was arrested and taken to Mogogosiek police station, the baby was as well taken to the station as an investigation into the matter commences.
She said that life was becoming unbearable for her and the baby. She said that it was the only better option instead of killing as most would have. She hoped someone with better resources would take him .
