The Director of Criminal Investigations is in charge of combing through crime scenes in the country and cracking the cases thereby bringing the culprits to book.
The Mazingira Complex Headquarters along Kiambu Road in Kiambu County got a new Head after the resignation of George Kinoti from the top post.
The new Director General of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohamed, has this morning done some more reshuffles in the security sector of the DCI.
This comes a few week after he also transfered some senior officers of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations as per the reports that we have with us.
The head of the Land Fraud Unit, Mr. George Mutonya, has been promoted and transferred to the Trans National Organised Crime Unit.
The DCIO in Gigiri, Mr. Peter Kiboro was promoted to the County Criminal Investigations Officer and immediately transfered to the Nyamira County offices.
The Langata DCIO, known as Samuel Kobina was also transferred to Nyanza on the promotion as the new county boss.
Robert Mureithi will now be serving as the Nairobi Central DCIO while Mr. Jimmy Kimaru, Daniel Musangi, Daniel Ngetich, David Cheruiyot, Abdurashid Yakub as well as Charles Kimalate were transferred to Kasarani, Ngong, Buruburu, Starehe, Kilimani, as well as Langata respectively as the new DCIOs.
