A police officer in Machakos has been arrested for stealing from a university student. The police officer have been charged for stealing a mobile phone and other valuables from the student. The officer identified as Kevin Sila and his colleague Kevin Sila attacked two Machakos university students while they were cycling to their residential quarters. 
The officers who were in a motorbike pounced on one of the students, giving him resounding slaps and got to his pockets where they took a mobile phone and other valuables. The other students managed to escape narrowly and took off screaming to the top of his voice. He alerted the neighbours who are also fellow students who came to the rescue of their fellow comrades. 
The officers were cornered by their colleagues from Machakos police station as they tried to escape. They tried to hand over the stolen phone but they were arrested and taken to police station where they are currently cooling their heels.
